The Role:

We are seeking a talented AI/ML Engineer to join our team and help us leverage the power of AI and Machine Learning to revolutionize the way our customers conduct systematic literature reviews. The successful candidate will work closely with our engineering and product teams to analyze large volumes of data and find novel ways to apply AI/ML techniques to add value to our customers\' workflows.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy AI/ML models to automate the tagging and classification of large volumes of literature (PDF, raw text, images) and question-answer response sets.
  • Create language models to automatically extract data from scientific literature and improve the accuracy and efficiency of our customers\' reviews.
  • Analyze data collected on our platform to provide actionable insights to our customers and help them optimize their workflow.
  • Collaborate with our engineering and product teams to design and implement new AI/ML features and enhancements to our platform.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest AI/ML research and technologies and recommend new approaches for improving our platform.
Note: Duties are not limited to those listed above. Additional duties may be assigned as required. However, reasonable consultations with personnel will be made if possible, under business conditions

Skills & Qualifications (Education and Experience):
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing and deploying AI/ML models in a production environment.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with popular AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or Keras.
  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP) techniques and libraries such as NLTK, SpaCy, or Gensim.
  • Familiarity with SQL and experience working with large structured datasets.
  • Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Lambda.
  • Experience developing and deploying large-scale LLMs, such as GPT models, and experience fine-tuning them for specific use cases.
  • Strong understanding of deep learning architectures and experience with attention-based models.
  • Experience with transfer learning and pre-training models on large datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience using cloud ML solutions such as AWS Sagemaker, Azure ML, Databricks.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
