Machine Builder

to join ourteam.

Job Summary:



Reporting to the Machine Builder Manager, the Machine Builder is responsible for the mechanical build, bench assembly, floor assembly, testing, disassembly, installation, and integration of robotic work cells, mechanical assemblies, and factory automation products to ensure that a quality product is built on time, safely, and meets customer standards.

The responsibilities for the Machine Builder will include:



Assemble different custom machines according to floor plan and blueprints as safely and efficiently as possible. Attend design reviews and provide valuable input regarding fit and function. Effectively read and interpret blueprints for custom machines. Participate in the assembly of prototypes and review drawing packages for fit, function, and manufacturability. Collaborate with designers, controls specialists, and project managers to identify and resolve assembly issues. Participate in debugging and start up of assembled machines. Run assembled machines to verify functionality, interface, loading/unloading areas, and guarding. Commission machines with customers present (factory acceptance testing). Participate in the disassembly and shipping of machines. Travel to customer sites to assemble and install machines.

Education, Skills and Job Requirements:



Minimum 4 years related experience in custom automation machine builds. 433A/430A licenses an asset but not required. Must travel to customer sites to install machinery. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Willingness to train and mentor junior employees.

Pay: $30.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
