Winpak is seeking a

Mac Operator

based in

Winnipeg, Manitoba

to support our

Graphics Department.





As part of the Graphics Department team, the

Mac Operator

plays a key role in supporting Winpak's prepress and graphics operations by performing file setup, manipulation, and creation in accordance with customer specifications, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:




Liaise with external graphic designers and customers to ensure artwork is accurately reproduced according to specifications. Collaborate with the Graphics Team to meet customer, manufacturing, and regulatory requirements. Perform timely and accurate art file setup and manipulation, maintain detailed records of billable hours, and complete art purchase orders. Provide technical support and respond to inquiries from internal and external customers. Follow up on customer-supplied files to ensure all questions and requirements are addressed. Maintain and continuously update Macintosh operating and design software skills to align with current technology. Foster teamwork, cooperation, and clear communication within the department and across the organization. Support Winpak's Total Quality Initiative (TQI) and Lean programs through daily activities and collaboration. Perform all tasks in compliance with ISO 9001 and SQF 2000 standards.

Required Qualifications:




Grade 12 diploma or equivalent Successfully completed minimum 1-year post secondary graphic arts program with formal training in printing/graphics. +1 years of experience within graphic arts environment with extensive knowledge of graphic software and hardware as well as knowledgeable in packaging machine blueprint reading. +1 years of experience working collaboratively within a team environment. +1 years of experience working within tight deadlines and under minimal supervision. Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication skills Combination of education, experience, knowledge, and skills may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:




Previous experience in a manufacturing/scheduling environment would be preferred. Previous experience in packaging and or wide -web Flexo printing is an asset.

Additional Information:




This position is 100% onsite located in the Murray Industrial Park in Winnipeg, Manitoba. There is limited bus access to this location.
