We're looking for a high-performing, relationship-driven Sales Associate - Commission Based

As the younger sibling of Elte, Mkt brings a modern, urban design sensibility to clients seeking thoughtfully curated furniture, lighting, and decor at a mid-range price point.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, has a natural eye for style, and loves helping clients bring their spaces to life.As a member of our sales team, you'll guide customers through their design journey, from discovery and product education to final purchase, while delivering an exceptional and friendly showroom experience. You'll be representing a curated collection of furniture, lighting, rugs, and decor made for modern, urban living.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Client Experience

Meet and exceed personal and team sales goals through in-store engagement Build genuine relationships with customers by listening, understanding, and offering tailored recommendations Educate clients on product features, availability, and style options Provide post-sale follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business Support promotional events, weekend sales, and seasonal showroom updates

Showroom Excellence

Maintain a clean, organized, and visually inspiring showroom environment Stay up to date on inventory, product knowledge, and new arrivals Work collaboratively with team members to ensure seamless customer service

Tools & Tracking

Use POS and CRM systems to manage customer information, sales activity, and follow-ups Track individual performance goals and contribute to overall store success

Requirements

2-5 years of experience in a customer-facing, retail sales environment (home furnishings or design retail preferred) Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a fast-paced setting Strong communication and active listening skills A passion for home design, trends, and helping people create spaces they love Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with in-store systems and tools Available & open to working weekends

Nice-to-Have:

Experience working in furniture, decor, or design-related retail Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM tools Ability to lift and move small furniture or assist with floor changes

Hours of Work:

Weekends may be included in your schedule, Elte is open 7days a week and we ask you to work 5days (40hours) a week. Hours of Operation: 9:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Saturday & 12pm-5pm on Sundays
