Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Yard Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our warehouse operations. This position involves various tasks related to shipping and receiving, heavy equipment operation, and general yard maintenance. The Yard Worker will ensure that products are properly handled, organized, and prepared for distribution.

Duties

Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks for loading and unloading materials. Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate order picking and inventory management. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the yard and warehouse. Assist in the movement of goods throughout the facility using appropriate warehouse management systems. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality. Engage in heavy lifting and physical labor as required for various tasks. Collaborate with team members to meet operational goals efficiently. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery and handling materials.

Experience

Previous experience in warehouse distribution or similar roles is preferred. Mechanical knowledge is a plus, with an understanding of heavy equipment operation. Familiarity with order picking processes and shipping & receiving procedures is essential. Experience with warehouse management systems will be beneficial. Prior experience in construction or related fields can enhance your application. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift is required.
