Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Yard Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our yard and warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient workflow, maintain safety standards, and manage a team of warehouse staff. This role requires strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of warehouse distribution processes.

Duties

Supervise daily yard operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Coordinate the loading and unloading of materials using forklifts, clamp trucks, and cranes. Manage inventory control through effective use of a Warehouse Management System (WMS). Oversee order picking processes to ensure timely and accurate shipment of products. Conduct regular inspections of heavy equipment to ensure proper functioning and maintenance. Train and mentor staff on best practices in shipping & receiving, heavy lifting, and equipment operation. Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Skills

Proven experience in warehouse distribution with a strong understanding of logistics. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Proficiency in operating order pickers, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment. Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes and documentation. Previous experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking tasks. Background in construction is a plus but not mandatory. Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
