Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Operations Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our retail process. This position involves various tasks related to shipping, receiving, and inventory management, and a blend of mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

Operate lumber yard distribution equipment including front-end loader, delivery trucks. Perform order picking and packing to prepare items for shipment. Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Manage inventory using a Inventory Management System to track stock levels. Execute shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accuracy in documentation and product handling. Conduct regular maintenance checks on heavy equipment to ensure safe operations. Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Skills

Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution environments. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes and best practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by operational demands. Experience with warehouse management systems for efficient inventory tracking. Knowledge of construction practices is a plus but not mandatory.
