Lubrication Technician. Reporting to the Reliability Engineering Superintendent, the incumbent will work a 14 days in / 14 days out rotation. The ideal candidate is committed to safe work practices and strives for zero harm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing all work assigned, in a safe and well-managed manner.
  • Communicating with crews to coordinate work and provide updates.
  • Complying with all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety, environmental, confidentiality and code of conduct.
  • Participating in safety audits and meetings, maintaining meaningful contribution and participation; and being a team player.
  • Completing administrative functions by recording all task-related information.
  • Own and manage the lubrication routes.
  • Ensure all equipment is lubricated to meet AGMA, NGLI, or ISO standards/ OEM specifications.
  • Conduct oil samples and review oil sample reports as part of equipment condition monitoring program.
  • Maintain all lubrication systems, and hydraulic units to operating levels.
  • Maintain all lubrication systems, hydraulic units, and oil storage/dispensing systems as per targeted ISO cleanliness codes.
  • Assist with managing inventory of filters and repairs consumables.
  • Maintain lubrication and grease lines, including inspection and repairing of the damaged or leaking lines and fittings.
  • Manage operation and maintenance of kidney lube units and maintain their consumables.
  • Use and populate CMMS software to create work requests, track comments, order material, and enter time spent on tasks.
  • Work with the reliability team and process mechanical team on ad-hoc projects.
  • Perform temperature monitoring on equipment.
  • Perform other routine or preventative maintenance work as required.
Qualifications
  • Preference given to members of the Deninu Ku\xc3\xa9, Lutsel K\'e Dene First Nation, North Slave M\xc3\xa9tis Alliance, Northwest Territory M\xc3\xa9tis Nation, Tlicho Government, or Yellowknives Dene First Nation and residents of the NWT;
  • A minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
  • Level 2 Machine Lubricant Technician or Level 2 Machine Lubricant Analyst.
  • Previous experience in mineral processing is considered an asset.
  • Ability to safely work day and night shifts on a rotational basis;
  • Ability to manage time effectively and stay on schedule, with minimal supervision;
  • Ability to communicate with all other groups and disciplines from operation or maintenance; and
  • Experience in mining industry, preferably working in a processing plant is preferred.
