Overview

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for detail-oriented LTD Benefits Specialists with sound math skills to join our Long Term Disability Services department. The LTD Benefits Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the Long Term Disability (LTD) department to ensure injured workers receive permanent disability benefits that reflect their loss of future earnings capacity. These benefits are paid to an injured worker for the remainder of their working life with significant financial implications for both the injured worker and the accident fund.

Where you\xe2\x80\x99ll work

At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.

In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll work primarily from your B.C. home and occasionally in our Richmond office.

What you\'ll do

  • Calculate and support the implementation of disability benefits
  • Investigate information that affects pension calculations
Is this a good fit for you?

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for people who can:
  • Use spreadsheet software (Excel) proficiently
  • Organize, prioritize, and multi-task in an environment that includes interruptions and changing priorities
  • Investigate and interpret information to determine relevant facts, apply established policies and procedures, and provide a recommendation
  • Clearly communicate complex information both orally and in writing to a variety of people in positive and negative circumstances
Your background and experience
  • A diploma in finance, mathematics, statistics or other related discipline
  • A minimum of 2 years of related work experience in a clerical role
  • Accurately perform mathematical calculations
  • Use Microsoft Word and Excel proficiently
