Academic Coordinator
to lead the delivery and ongoing development of our
Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) Program
.
Position Summary
The Academic Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the academic integrity, curriculum delivery, and overall quality of the CCA program. This role includes instructional duties and program development to ensure the program meets industry standards and student needs.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver and facilitate classroom and/or clinical instruction for CCA program students
Develop, update, and maintain course materials and program curriculum in line with provincial standards
Ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting bodies
Monitor student progress and provide academic guidance and support
Coordinate practicum placements and liaise with clinical sites as needed
Contribute to program reviews, reporting, and improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Licensed
Registered Nurse (RN)
or
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
in good standing in [Insert Province]
Experience working in continuing care or related healthcare settings
Teaching or training experience is an asset
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Familiarity with adult education principles and curriculum development is an advantage
