Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support our patients with autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions in a rheumatology practice. Working under the direction of rheumatologists and within the LPN scope of practice, this role involves patient education, clinical support, medication administration, and care coordination to optimize patient outcomes and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide patient education on rheumatologic conditions, treatment plans, lifestyle modifications, and medication administration (e.g., methotrexate, biologics). Reinforce adherence to treatment plans and follow-up schedules. Collaborate with interdisciplinary providers (primary care, pharmacy, allied health) to support holistic patient care. Assist with disease activity assessments (e.g., joint counts, patient-reported outcomes). Support physicians with procedures such as joint aspirations and injections. Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education related to rheumatology nursing.

Qualifications:

Current registration and good standing as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Experience in ambulatory care or chronic disease management preferred. Knowledge of rheumatology, immunology, or biologic therapies considered an asset (training provided if not already acquired). Strong communication, teaching, and patient advocacy skills. Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer applications (Microsoft Word, Accuro EMR). Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Schedule & Reporting:

Part-time, combination of virtual and in person work, 2-4 hours per week, can be done in the evenings and on weekends.
Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $28.27-$37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 4 per week
