The Vein Treatment Centre

We are seeking a Part-time Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team of professional surgeons, doctors & nurses.

As one of our valued Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) you would be responsible for providing planned, patient-oriented, directed nursing care in accordance with provincial standards.

Salary:

Competitive salary based on experience, benefits can be negotiated.

Clinic Operating Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm (Clinic closures vary throughout the year)

Key Responsibilities:

Working with our doctors, nurses, and surgeons in the treatment of venous insufficiency and other surgical diseases. Patient teaching, patient assessment, minor procedures. Working in the clinic and the operating room. Circulating and scrub nursing in a private surgical setting Maintaining sterile technique, performing procedures, assisting in surgeries Development of surgical programs, procedures, protocols Inventory control and ordering Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse from an accredited nursing program Active registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) Solid understanding of the Health Information Act, patient privacy law and FIOP Current Basic Life Support Certification Passionate about quality and creating an exceptional patient experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Technical/procedural skills. Strong interpersonal skills, self-directed, committed to a positive work environment. Operating room (scrub & circulating) experience would be considered an asset. Experience in dermatology and/or aesthetics. Previous leadership or program development roles. Knowledge in Venous Insufficiency. Proficient in the basic use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
