Job Description

The Clinical Nurse position combines quality improvement, program planning, and team development activities with clinic practice to support the participation of the Campbell Clinic in the Chinook Primary Care Network.

Position Qualifications

Y At least five years experience as a health care professional

Current license with the CLPNA and a member in good standing

Y Current certification in CPR/First Aid

Knowledge in chronic disease management

Knowledge in the principles of Primary Care Initiatives

Preference given for Pap certification, Primary Care Clinic experience

Y Ability to work within a self-directed/physician environment

Y Proficiency

OR

a willingness to develop proficiency in use of computers including: MS Office and electronic medical record

Y Experience working with a variety of service providers in a collaborative setting

Y Knowledge and skills in health education for individuals and groups

Y Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Position Responsibilities

Y Assist in daily patient/clinic functions within scope of practice

Y Educate patients on general aspects of chronic disease management (i.e. asthma, obesity, hypertension, Diabetes, lipid disorders, cardiovascular disease)

Educate staff on policies and procedures

Support other licensed staff with daily responsibilities

Develop, coordinate, update and monitor clinic programs, protocols, procedures, and measures

Participate in on-going education sessions, as required

Y Other related clinical responsibilities

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
