Job Description

-Providing Covid-19 Immunizations to staff, clients patients, residents and the general public at various clinics and facilities through SHA
-Observing clients immediately after injection for side affects
-Ensuring proper usage and storage of vaccines and sharps before and after use
-Ensuring cold chain in maintained
Required Qualifications

Licensed with the Saskatchewan Association of Licensed Practical Nurses
Practical Nursing Diploma
Experience
Previous: No previous experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Interpersonal skills
Valid drivers license, where required by the job
Organizational skills
Basic computer skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Communication skills

-COVID-19 Vaccine Brand-specific learning
-New immunizer module (as necessary)
-Anaphylaxis training module
-EPIC COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy training
-Knowledge of how Immunization Clinics work
-Other health professionals may need further orientation and IM training -Knowledge of various vaccines and potential side effects
-Knowledge of treatment modalities available
-Ability to follow work standards, algorithms and scripts
-Able to manage time effectively and prioritize workload constantly
-Excellent assessment skills
