About the Role
The Low Carbon Fuels Lead will help tackle emissions from hard-to-abate sectors such as heavy trucking, petrochemicals, steel, aviation, areas where an integrated approach combining increased energy efficiency (including increased electrification and waste heat utilization), carbon capture, hydrogen, biomass and drop-in fuels is necessary to deliver significant emission reductions. Our work centers on rigorous technoeconomic evaluation, de-risking emerging solutions, shaping pathways for deployment, and catalyzing pilot and demonstration projects.
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in energy systems and engineering fundamentals, paired with excellent project leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills. You will assess the viability of net-zero solutions, lead multi-stakeholder initiatives, develop clear and actionable insights, and help guide strategic decisions for industry and government. Success in this role requires first-principles thinking, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to translate complex system interactions into practical, high-impact recommendations.
