We are a privately owned and local general contractor, specializing in road building and civil construction and have been operating in British Columbia for over 65 years. Jack Cewe Construction Ltd. (CEWE) provides all aspects of road construction including excavation, placing gravel, base and sub-base, underground utility installation, concrete slabs, sidewalks and curbs, and of course asphalt paving and milling.

CEWE is seeking a Lowbed Driver to join our team! You will have experience in hauling heavy civil equipment in the Vancouver and Tri-cities areas.

Duties:

Perform pre-trip, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle Maintain an accurate and detailed logbook in accordance with federal driving requirements Loads and unloads heavy equipment using low bed trailer and truck Secures and inspects equipment and truck to ensure safe travel Keeps equipment clean and completes routine maintenance Operates equipment in a safe and effective manner to prevent the risk of injury and/or property damage Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, and WorkSafe BC regulations
Requirements:

Valid Class 1 license with clean driver's abstract Two (2) years of experience hauling and securing heavy construction equipment, including excavators and paving equipment Familiarity with local roads and worksites Dependable, punctual to delivering exceptional service Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds Work in adherence to safe work practices, procedures and work site or traffic laws Ability to work 5-6 days per week, approximately 10 hours per day with overtime Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions

Pay: From $43.95 per hour
