Location: Delta, British Columbia:Job SummaryReporting to the National Manager of Loss Prevention (LP), the Loss Prevention Supervisor of BC1 Distribution Centre (DC) is responsible for safeguarding company assets through overseeing the loss prevention program in the BC1 DC located in Surrey, British Columbia. This includes developing and implementing policies, procedures, and best practices to prevent theft, fraud, and other losses. Additionally, the LP Supervisor will proactively train employees to acquire a culture of preventing loss within the DC. The LP Supervisor will be responsible for the physical security of the DC by monitoring and maintaining LP equipment (CCTV, Intrusion, Access Control) and ensuring all employees follow the security process. This role will support the National Manager with internal theft investigations in both DCs and Stores, including analyzing data to identify inventory accuracy concerns. Dependent on the role, this position may have direct reports.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of the Distribution Centre Loss Prevention program.
  • Create and implement Loss Prevention policy, procedures, and training.
  • Manage employee, vendor, and visitor access within the Distribution Centre through the access control process.
  • Provides regular updates on Loss Prevention concerns and initiatives to cross functional partners.
  • Oversees and coordinates security equipment installations, repairs, and service calls in the Distribution Centre.
  • Manages intrusion system codes and user access for access control in Pet Valu DCs throughout Canada.
  • Assists with investigations of internal and external theft and fraud, conducts interviews when appropriate.
  • Coordinates periodic LP audits of GTA DC to ensure CCTV, intrusion and access control equipment is functioning properly.
  • Establish baseline KPIs and reports to support the Warehouse Management System and improve inventory accuracy.
  • Responsible for securing video evidence as needed.
  • Support Health and Safety Manager and HR to ensure safety procedures are maintained throughout DCs.
  • Manage third party contracted security guards as needed.
  • This role works in a warehouse setting that requires walking and the ability to lift up to 20lbs.
  • This is an on-site position that will require being physically present at the BC1 DC 5 days a week.
  • This role will cover 24/7 operation and will be required to work different shifts, nights, weekends.
  • Assists National Manager, Loss Prevention with additional tasks as needed.
  • Performs other duties as needed.
Skills, Experience, Education, Certifications
  • Must have 3+ years of Loss Prevention Distribution Centre experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience investigating and conducting internal theft/fraud interviews.
  • Wicklander and Zulawski or similar designations are an asset.
  • Experience with security equipment such as intrusion, access control, and CCTV systems. (Bosch)
  • Ability to manage third-party vendor relationships.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with ability to work weekends when required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) is essential.
  • First Aid certified is an asset.
  • OHSA Certified is an asset.
