Loss Prevention Investigator

in

Vaughan, ON and other nearby areas.

What you will do

Prevent shoplifter theft in a retail environment while providing customer service to clients, patrons and customers. Wear plain clothes to work undercover, discreetly blending in with shoppers. Patrol store aisles, monitor customers, and watch security camera footage. Confront individuals you suspect of theft, who have unpaid merchandise. Escort trespassers out of the client premises. Perform arrests, detainments, and recover unpaid merchandise Complete required documentation for security incidents such as theft and violations. Escalate situation to law enforcement as required. Experience in using CCTV software and reviewing camera footage. Respond to emergency situations appropriately in a timely manner. Perform any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned to you from time to time.

The Ideal Candidate

Must have a valid Ontario security license Candidate must have experience working in the loss prevention industry Candidate must have proven track record making regular theft apprehensions and recoveries Solid understanding of Criminal Code of Canada and powers of arrest Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in using CCTV software, reviewing and saving footage Must be able to start within 2-3 weeks Will require working mix of days, evenings and weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour

Vaughan, ON (L4K, York District): reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
