Reporting to the Security & Loss Prevention Senior Manager, Western Canada, the Loss Prevention Coordinator will be responsible for implementing and monitoring crime prevention strategies across Western Canada to safeguard company assets and ensure the safety of staff and customers, and support the Healthy, Safety and Environment strategy of the organization. The core responsibilities include evaluating store processes, investigating incidents of theft or fraud, and collaborating with law enforcement and industry associations.The Loss Prevention Coordinator will play a critical role in meeting department objectives by maintaining a culture of safety, loss prevention awareness and driving strategies to reduce shrinkage.Key Responsibilities & AccountabilitiesEnforce crime prevention strategies and review industry best practices in a constant effort to maintain the safety of staff and customers, while protecting the assets of the company.Evaluate store processes for areas of opportunity, review and analyze regional store shrink performance, utilize audit results to address deficiencies and monitor corrective action, communicate areas of opportunity to Security & Loss Prevention Manager.Enforce and monitor the loss prevention policies, procedures and programs to ensure the programs are aligned with the Company\xe2\x80\x99s goals and objectives and applicable laws and regulations.Coordinate with CCTV/Alarm/PET/Lone Gard services and equipment provider to maintain a high level of protection and service to our locations.Utilize exception reporting, information, CCTV and POS data to identify incidents of theft/fraud trends, policy and procedure violations, and internal shrink, maintain case files, logs, and reports.Investigate acts of criminality and civil litigation, and partner with applicable operations staff during the investigation.Provide updates, feedback and reports directly to the Security & Loss Prevention Manager on investigations and incidents that may affect Circle K.Liaise with local law enforcement, colleagues within the Loss Prevention industry, professional security/loss prevention associations.Promote and drive culture of safety and loss prevention, supporting shortage reduction strategies, and promote best practice sharing and learning opportunities.Reviews progress related to the timely execution of shrink reduction plans, partners with District Managers on store visits to ensure a high level of business partnership between LP and store operations.Travel and conduct audits, as required for all Western Canada locations.Act as a Circle K representative in legal proceedings.Be available to respond to safety and security issues, such as robberies, assaults, etc. specifically, to answer all calls received from corporate staff members, independent store operators, vendors, alarm monitoring and attend when required.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications & SkillsCertifications in security systems management, loss prevention or relevant field.
