An exciting opportunity awaits

As a Loss Prevention Agent you will ensure SCU's Risk Tolerances are achieved and a consistent member experience is created through monitoring of daily delinquencies and responding to member and interdepartmental inquiries and requests regarding Credit Deferral Program.

Responsibilities:

Monitor Consumer members accounts through daily system-generated reporting, ensuring company risk tolerances are being adhered to, while gaining efficiencies through centralized reporting processes Facilitate with various internal departments and respond to all Requests while following best practices, and when needed seek legal opinion with the support of Manager, Loss Prevention Process transactions, apply restrictions/holds, and update records in the banking system ensuring accuracy and efficiency at all times Participate in the preparation of departmental reports for tracking and record-keeping Maintain thorough knowledge of and adhere to credit union policies/procedures and all other legislative requirements in the areas of lending, risk management, security and fraud prevention Respond to staff inquiries and resolve questions and concerns wherever possible, referring more complex issues to the Manager, Loss Prevention Provide additional services as required Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental and organizational goals

Qualifications:

Grade 12 Diploma, plus one to three years of job-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and legislation would be considered an asset. Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills Software proficiency Demonstrated negotiation, analytical and reasoning, prioritization, organization, time management, planning and follow-up skills Knowledge of SCU's products and services would be considered an asset
