Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Local Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials within the local area while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment.

Duties

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport freight and materials to designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks on vehicles as needed, including minor automotive repairs.
• Operate forklifts and heavy equipment when necessary for loading and unloading tasks.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in commercial driving or freight transportation is preferred.
• Familiarity with operating forklifts and heavy equipment is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of automotive repair is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
• Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.

Pay: $18.72-$23.00 per hour
