YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Longhole Supervisor, you will be part of the Mine Operations Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.Assisting with loading explosives, installation, grouting and tensioning of cable bolts for hanging wall support. Competently perform all Mining 3 & 4 functions (Services & Construction). Read and understand longhole cable installation prints from engineering. Wash, scale and prepare areas for safe drilling and loading activities. Listen to and communicate with others, keep accurate records on 5 point card, aligning with daily tasks. Works within their capabilities and provides help to other team members when capable. Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

2 years of experience as a Miner 3 or equivalent (>4 years UG). Good understanding of longhole mining methods and procedures. Underground Common Core. Experience with Swedish Loader is considered an asset. Experience with bulk emulsion is considered an asset. Experience with cable bolt installation is considered an asset.
