Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Long Haul Driver to operate commercial vehicles across regional and national routes. This role involves transporting freight safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, knowledge of heavy equipment operation, and a commitment to timely deliveries. A background in automotive repair and forklift operation is a plus, enabling the driver to handle various logistical tasks and minor vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities

Safely operate long-haul trucks over designated routes, ensuring timely delivery of freight. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and cargo securement. Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage logs, and vehicle maintenance records. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules or issues encountered during transit. Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle operability during trips. Follow all federal, state, and local transportation regulations to ensure compliance at all times.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience in commercial driving, with a focus on long-distance routes preferred. Proficiency in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is desirable. Knowledge of freight handling procedures and securement techniques. Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation purposes. Physical ability to load/unload freight and operate heavy equipment safely. Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to safety standards at all times. Minimum 1 year experience required with clear abstract.
