We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Long Haul Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight over long distances while ensuring the safety and timely delivery of goods. This role requires a strong commitment to adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as maintaining the integrity of the cargo being transported.
Responsibilities
Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across long distances, ensuring timely delivery.
US VISA REQUIRED.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and cargo details.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or delays.
Handle loading and unloading of freight, utilizing forklift equipment when necessary.
Ensure proper securing of cargo to prevent damage during transit.
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles as needed.
Comply with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
Skills
Proficient in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
Experience in freight handling and logistics management.
Knowledge of heavy equipment operation, including forklifts.
Strong mechanical aptitude for basic automotive repair tasks.
Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
