Job Description
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Tasks
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle Receive and relay information to central dispatch Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargoCertificates, licences, memberships, and courses
Air Brakes Endorsement Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)Documentation knowledge
Bill of lading Driver logbook Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)Type of trucking and equipment
Refrigerated Tractor-trailerCommunication systems experience
Citizens band (CB) radio Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment Trip recorder (on-board computer)Transportation/travel experience
