Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight across long distances, ensuring timely and safe delivery while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work independently on the road.

Responsibilities

Operate commercial vehicles to transport goods over long distances, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Manage freight loading and unloading, utilizing forklifts when necessary to ensure efficient handling of cargo. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven, miles traveled, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit. Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure the vehicle remains in optimal condition throughout the journey. Adhere to all company policies regarding safety, compliance, and customer service.

Qualifications

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required. Proven experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation. Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations is essential. Basic knowledge of automotive repair to address minor vehicle issues on the road is preferred. Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently is a plus. Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Ability to work independently for extended periods while maintaining focus on safety and efficiency.

Pay: $4,000.00-$8,000.00 per month
