Job Description

We are looking for a Logistics Support Specialist for our Mississauga (Dundas & 403) office. You will be directly responsible for ensuring products and materials are in the right place at the right time within our building.

Additionally, you will occasionally use a company vehicle to complete local deliveries and pickups.

Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Shipping / Receiving Lead, the? Logistics Support Specialist will:

Support the flow of goods through the building from receiving into inventory and to shipping Assist the Logistics Team with receiving products into our inventory Assist with inventory management, including moving and organizing products using a forlkift and/or pallet jacks Assist with picking and packing orders for shipping Support the Logistics Team, Production Team and Service Department as required Assist the Service department with moving equipment where required Assist the Production Team with moving equipment where required Assist with crating large shipments, including building wooden crates Pick and stage component materials for the production team Assist with inventory cycle counting Maintain accurate inventory information in our Spire accounting system Cross-train in shipping and receiving procedures to assist when needed Assist in tasks for overall warehouse support Maintain an efficient and organized warehouse space Other tasks typical of someone in a logistics / shipping & receiving role.

Required Skills/Experience:

Experience receiving, recording and warehousing incoming goods required. Valid G driver's license required. Valid forklift license required. Verbal and written English skills required. Must be comfortable driving pickup trucks and cube vans for local deliveries. Experience working with a computerized inventory management system preferred. Hands-on experience booking and managing domestic and cross-border shipments to the US Preferred. Attention to detail required. Strong work ethic required. Experience in a team-oriented environment preferred.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

You must be able to:

Work with urgency to meet deadlines. Handle heavy loads of 50 Lbs or more. Stand for extended periods. Occasionally bend, crouch, and kneel Work in an occasionally noisy environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
