Job Description

NSC Minerals Ltd. was established in 1988. Since then, we have grown to become a major supplier of minerals, such as salt and calcium chloride in Western Canada and the North and Midwest regions of the United States. In 2020, NSC was purchased by Stone Canyon Industry Holdings and we are now part of a larger group of companies that includes Windsor Salt and Morton Salt.

The Logistics Support serves as a key contributor to the logistics department by performing essential administrative and data entry functions that support the effective operation of logistics activities. This position is responsible for processing orders, coordinating the requirements of customers and transportation partners, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and strong interpersonal communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

Process incoming orders and ensure timely updates to relevant databases Communicate professionally with customers and transportation providers and escalate issues as appropriate Verify and maintain compliance documentation for transportation partners (i.e. site orientation records, etc.) Participate in an on-call rotation to support after-hours logistics operations Perform additional administrative duties as assigned by departmental leadership
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

High school diploma is required Post-secondary education in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field would be considered an asset Prior work experience in logistics, supply chain, or administrative support roles would be considered an asset Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel is required Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and recordkeeping Strong written and verbal communication abilities Capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a time-sensitive environment Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation is required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
