We are looking for a Logistics Support Associate to join our team in our Maintenance department. Custom Helicopters Ltd. provides helicopter support to clients for various applications, while providing high-quality services with a commitment to safety, quality, and value.
Reporting to the Stores Manager, you will be responsible for completing daily deliveries and pick-ups from the St. Andrews Base to local vendors and cargo offices in Winnipeg and the surrounding area. The Logistics Support Associate is responsible for ensuring company vehicle upkeep, maintenance, and scheduling repairs as required. You will also be responsible for supporting the Stores team, ground maintenance, such as clearing snow or cutting grass, as well as general hangar care.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the timely execution of daily transportation tasks, including deliveries and pick-ups, between the St. Andrews Base and various local vendors and cargo offices within Winnipeg and its neighboring regions.
Perform monthly condition checks on company vehicles: reporting issues for immediate resolution.
Cross-Train for Stores Task Support: Support basic store operations as required: incl. Shipping Assistance, Inventory Management and General Support
Adhere to all safety regulations, including handling hazardous materials, and ensure that all delivered items are transported safely and securely.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and ensuring a safe and tidy environment.
Perform minor facilities repairs, upkeep, and inspections.
Safely handle equipment and tools required to perform assigned duties.
Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Stores Manager to support the overall functioning of the stores and related facilities.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Class 5F Driver's License.
Minimum 5 years of driving experience including experience driving large pickup trucks
Comfortable driving on icy roads
Knowledge of the Winnipeg area is an asset.
Must be able to operate a pickup truck with an 18' trailer.
Willingness to operate a forklift and riding lawnmower with company training.
Some experience in carpentry (such as building crates for shipping).
Some experience with small engine work (such as replacing oil and filters).
Able to lift heavy weights (between 50 and 70 lbs.).
Responsible, punctual, and dedicated to representing the company in a respectful and thoughtful manner.
Strong organizational skills, committed to maintaining a clean and organized workplace.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
