Job Description



The Logistics Summer Student will be responsible for supporting the activities of the Supply Chain Warehousing & Transportation teams including operational execution as well as coordination and support of various projects & process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate would understand supply chain best practices with particular emphasis on warehousing & transportation. Advanced analytics are required to support & drive ongoing continuous improvement initiatives. Strong communication skills, conflict management, and problem-solving skills are key in the identification & resolution of issues in support of business objectives. All activities must be accomplished by building relationships with both internal & external partners.

What are we looking for?


    • Working toward Post-Secondary Degree/ Diploma in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or a related field or equivalent experience
    • Logistics/ Supply Chain certification is an asset

What will be your key responsibilities?


    • Act as point of contact for customer discrepancies and issues (outbound); work with warehouse and/or Quality teams to address issues or escalate to necessary stakeholders; enter inbound logistics discrepancies into appropriate portals
    • Partner with DC and act as point of contact for inbound queries (cross-border, rush inbound, ocean freight, co-pack, etc.). Work collaboratively with planners/carriers/DC to resolve any issues and mitigate any risks.
    • Works proactively with planners throughout the End2End supply chain and keep them well informed about in-transit situation
    • Support the Regional Distribution Manager and Regional Transportation in distribution & logistics analytics, and key initiatives/projects
    Provide recommendations and drive action behind cost savings (Value Leadership) and process optimization
