Logistics Strategy Analyst

Job Description

Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Planning and Analytics, the Logistics Strategy Analyst will take a strategic, data-driven approach to optimize distribution operations. This role will lead workforce and resource planning initiatives, build labour models, forecast demand, and drive continuous improvement across logistics functions. Acting as a center of excellence for logistics intelligence, the analyst will support operational excellence through actionable insights and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain labour models and demand forecasts to guide resource allocation and route optimization.
  • Having the ability to present data & analytics to executives in meaningful PowerPoint deck.
  • Apply predictive analytics to support workforce planning and capital deployment aligned with long-term strategic goals.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost to serve performance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in areas such as labour planning, tank right-sizing and fleet utilization with intention to continually lower the CTS
  • Analyze complex logistics data to uncover trends and opportunities.
  • Act as a liaison between logistics, operations, sales, customer service, and external partners to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Stay current with industry trends, methodologies, and technologies in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Lead innovative projects that enhance labour management, forecasting accuracy, and resource planning.
  • Being able to effectively build out a presentation package that is well thought out and impactful to the audience.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
What you bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in logistics strategy, operations planning, or data analytics within a supply chain environment.
  • Proven track record in workforce planning, demand forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
