Cavendish Farms is a leading producer of frozen food products for retail and foodservice markets throughout Canada, the United States, and around the world. We have state-of-the-art potato processing plants in Prince Edward Island, Lethbridge, Alberta, and Jamestown, North Dakota, and an appetizer plant in Wheatley, Ontario. Our Head office is in Dieppe, New Brunswick and has sales office locations in Toronto, Montreal, and Boston.

Reporting to the Transportation Manager, the successful candidate must thrive in a fast paced and ever-changing environment, while maintaining a high level of professionalism, accuracy, and detail. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a "can do" attitude. The successful candidate will play a key role in the Supply Chain Department at Cavendish Farms. The schedule for this position is from Tuesday to Saturday.

Successful Candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• University degree or College diploma preferred.
• University degree or college diploma in supply chain/logistics or equivalent years of experience
• 3+ years of experience in the field of logistics and/or supply chain
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel to review and manipulate data; pivot tables etc.
• Attention to detail with a strong sense of data integrity

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with internal and external business teams to ensure operations are running smoothly and risk management plans are in place to avoid shipping disruptions
• Ensure carrier schedule remain on target for pick-up and delivery locations
• Work with our carriers and internal planning team to develop and maintain contingency plans to solve any shipping issues arising from capacity constraints.
• Drive continuous improvements with carriers to avoid customer and distribution centre disruptions and fines
