Our client, a leader in the Canadian logistics and transportation industry, is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join their team. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting international and cross-border logistics activities. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Logistics Compliance Specialist
Location: Mississauga, ON
Pay Range: $25/hr
Shift: 10:00 AM to 06:00 PM / 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday to Friday
What's the Job?

• Receive and process pre-alerts for inbound shipments; develop and manage recovery schedules.
• Coordinate dispatch of line-haul drivers (agents and Purolator) in alignment with recovery timelines.
• Liaise with ground handlers, customs, and warehouse personnel to resolve recovery-related issues.
• Work closely with Canada Customs, brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with programs like CLVS and PARS.
• Manage customs clearance coordination and facilitate bonded warehouse pickups and deliveries.

What's Needed?

• 1 - 3 Years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in both International and Cross Border import and export procedures
• Knowledge of Air/Ocean Imports documentation and procedures
• Strong administrative and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

CIFFA Level 1 & 2 certifications are considered assets.
Bilingualism (English/French) is an advantage. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word required).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; customer service-oriented approach.
• Ability to multitask effectively and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience in cutting MAWB, HAWB, Ground Bills of Lading and Export Declarations
• Experience in customs documentation preparation and working knowledge of INCO terms
• Require flexibility in working hours: Availability on CAD/US holidays, Evening, Night and Weekend shifts, Rotating work schedules and shift
