Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Specialist to join our supply chain team. This role involves managing warehouse distribution, materials reorder, coordinating transportation, and optimizing procurement processes to ensure seamless order fulfillment and materials management. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems (Odoo), and data analysis skills to improve operational efficiency. A strong understanding of freight, 3PL providers, demand planning, and sourcing is essential to support our company's logistics operations. Responsibilities

Responsible for warehouse distribution activities, including order picking, shipping & receiving, and packaging operations. Manage procurement processes, including sourcing and purchasing materials to meet production demands. Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) to coordinate freight movement and optimize logistics workflows. Conduct data analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement in supply chain operations. Maintain accurate records using inventory management systems such as Odoo for equipment maintenance tracking. Collaborate with 3PL providers to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective freight solutions. Support demand planning efforts by analyzing inventory levels and forecasting future needs. Assist with procurement activities, including vendor sourcing and pricing negotiations. Ensure compliance with safety standards during shipping & receiving activities, including forklift operation when necessary. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse processes, materials management, and order fulfillment efficiency.

Experience

Proven experience in shipping, supply chain management, or logistics roles. Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), freight logistics, and 3PL coordination. Strong data analysis skills for process improvement and demand forecasting. Experience with procurement, sourcing, pricing strategies, and materials management. Hands-on experience with shipping & receiving procedures, order picking, packaging, and forklift operation preferred. Prior exposure to process improvement methodologies within a warehouse or logistics environment is advantageous. This role is integral to maintaining efficient supply chain operations while supporting continuous process enhancements that benefit the organization's overall performance.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
