Job Description

Acadian Seaplants Ltd. is seeking a Logistics Specialist for our location in Cornwallis, NS. This a 6-month contract position. As a Logistics Specialists you are responsible for the daily transfer of finished products from the plant to the warehouse for shipment.

Your responsibilities include:

Ensuring finished products are stacked, labeled, strapped, and loaded in such a way as to eliminate the risk of damage during shipment. Performing inventory counts on consumables and finished goods. Operating mobile equipment in a safe and proper manner. Performing daily inspections on mobile equipment. Assisting in all aspects of shipping/receiving including inventory counts, stacking, wrapping, strapping and loading of products onto containers and trailers. Maintaining good housekeeping. Supporting the company's core values regarding safety, teamwork and value creation for One Acadian, our customers, our communities, and the planet.

Qualifications include:

Community college diploma related to logistics or equivalent experience. Valid Nova Scotia driver's license required. Ability to drive a forklift. Self-starter with the ability to make a strong contribution in a team environment.

Hours of Work

Monday to Thursday, 8 am to 5 pm. Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm During busy shipping seasons, overtime may be required to ensure shipment of product is done on time.
