Overview


We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Logistics Sales Executive to join our expanding team. In this pivotal role, you will drive growth by developing and nurturing strong relationships with new clients, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering tailored logistics solutions. Your expertise in supply chain management, transportation planning, and freight services will empower you to effectively promote our comprehensive logistics offerings, including third-party logistics (3PL), transportation management systems (TMS), and carrier solutions. Responsibilities



Proactively generate leads through cold calling, networking, customer site visits, and market research to expand our customer base in the logistics sector. Engage with prospective clients to understand their supply chain needs and present customized transportation management solutions that align with their business objectives. Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact through contract negotiation, ensuring clear communication of pricing, service levels, and contractual terms. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients by providing exceptional account management, addressing inquiries promptly, and identifying upselling opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams such as dispatching, freight forwarding, and operations to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction. Negotiate contracts with clients and carriers while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Coordinate transportation planning activities including dispatching, carrier selection, freight scheduling, and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) communications to optimize logistics efficiency. Maintain accurate data entry within transportation management systems. Support the development of pricing strategies by analyzing market rates and competitor offerings to ensure competitive yet profitable proposals.

Experience



Proven success in sales within the logistics or supply chain management industry. Strong understanding of transportation management systems (TMS), supply chain processes, freight forwarding, and logistics sales techniques. Experience negotiating contracts related to transportation services, carrier sales. Familiarity with inside sales approaches including lead generation, data entry, dispatching coordination, software utilization. Knowledge of transportation planning tools. Excellent negotiation skills coupled with a customer-centric mindset that emphasizes relationship building and account growth. Must be willing to travel in your own vehicle for site visits in central and southern Alberta (Fuel will be company provided)*

Commission Based

- must make sales to get paid via commission and bonuses. Knowledge of the transportation industry is a must Candidate's with past Logistics Sales experience is a asset Job entitles 50% cold calling, 50% site visits
