Horizon Recruitment Inc. has been tasked to source and successfully recruit a Logistics Project Manager for a rapidly growing mining operation based out of the lower mainland. The role will focus on the selection and implementation of a complex 4PL solution for operating mine sites and will be responsible for both internal stakeholder engagement and vendor management requirements.

This position can work remotely from Western Canada or Toronto with site / vendor visits as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop 4PL strategy. Select, negotiate and manage the successful vendor.
• Liaise with existing logistics and supply chain departments to optimize 4PL project
• Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving all existing freight and logistics processes and procedures.
• Main point of contact for internal DC and 4PL Vendor relationships
• Ensure 4PL software is implanted and effectively and integrates efficiently with existing ERP and logistics software
• Present operations reports and KPI\'s to management on a regular basis.
• Champion 4PL project with internal stakeholders, including training and support where required.
• Work closely with existing Logistics vendors to maintain long term regional relationships.

Requirements

• Ideally degree level education or appropriate professional certifications such as CPSM or SCMP.
• At least 5 years\' working within management in a Logistics and Distribution role ideally with a heavy industrial focus.
• 4pl experience, with implementation / project management experience.
• Proven track record of delivering supply chain projects.
• Strong understanding of 3PL/4PL business models.
• Advanced ERP & 4PL software and technical skills
• Solid verbal and written communication skills. Ability to inspire results and manage expectations within the organization.
