Purpose of the Role The Logistics Network Analyst (LNA) will support the logistics operation through their thorough understanding and use of the various logistics software applications. They will work with the logistics management team to ensure routes are kept up to date, provide troubleshooting support, as well as development of KPI\xe2\x80\x99s and additional analytical and reporting support. They will also play and active role in projects, process improvements and further technology initiatives.
LifeLabs Logistics operates a national network of courier routes that connect both our external and internal clients, transporting specimens, supplies and medical report delivery while joining front-end collection to laboratory destination end-points. To continuously serve each of our clients effectively, we strategically build, maintain, and communicate network updates that embrace quality with both service and cost optimization.
This is a Temporary Full Time role for Maternity cover based at 100 International Blvd, M9W 6J6.
Core Accountabilities
  • The LNA will support with the maintenance and design of the logistics courier network and related master routing database.
  • The LNA will work closely with the logistics management team to oversee national route updates, support new business requests (NBR\xe2\x80\x99s), operational reporting, and troubleshooting both software/hardware related issues (including engaging directly with our vendors).
  • Responsible for KPI development and working with logistics managers nationally through the utilization of logistics reporting to resolve operational gaps indicated by the system.
  • Utilize and exercise emerging Logistics Software Applications supporting Route Optimization and Transportation/Event Management Systems.
  • Facilitate the configuration, assignment, repair, and asset control of related scanner/device hardware for the network.
  • Report on service and quality standards.
  • Partner with Logistics Managers nationally to develop and execute the Business Recovery Plan (BRP) preparedness of self and team.
  • Play an active role in the development and deployment of technology related solutions that improve the logistics operations.
  • Makes recommendations on the development and implementation of process improvements aligned to Lean initiatives.
  • Provide additional analysis and analytical support for the logistics team.

Qualifications and Skills
  • 2 year College Program (or equivalent experience) - Supply Chain, Engineering or Computer Science would be considered an asset
  • 3+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in logistics and/or IT
  • Intermediate skills with MS Office suite
  • Must have experience with Descartes Route Planner software
  • Demonstrated aptitude for technology
  • Possess excellent communication, attention to detail and time management skills
  • Flexible to visit logistics hubs within GTA
  • Must have valid drivers licence and access to own vechicle

Hiring Range:
55,500 - 70,800 The hiring range has been established, however, the final salary recommendation will be determined based off the level of experience, education requirement, external market conditions and internal equity.
