Polykon Manufacturing LLC, owned and operated by Seppic, is located in Sandston, Virginia approximately 20 miles East of Richmond. The plant began operation in 2020 with an overall concept designed to incorporate the highest levels of manufacturing quality for cosmetic and pharmaceutical ingredients. All of the (GMP) Good Manufacturing Practices are integrated at the product flow level as well as at the individual flow level. Our units are all outfitted with a self-cleaning system and are heavily automated for consistent and easily traceable quality. The 65,000 sq.ft. manufacturing production plant has been designed with a minimal-waste or emission objective. The best available techniques were used to reduce waste and emissions to a strict minimum at their origin. The principles of recycling have been systematically adopted and final discharge treatment systems have been installed at the vent and waste-water levels to ensure there is minimal impact on the environment. This facility is ISO 9001:2015, EFfCI, and RSPO certified.

We are looking for a Logistics Manager to manage 2 employees while bearing responsibility for all duties in the Warehouse including, shipping/receiving, selecting and coordinating carriers, researching shipping methods, assessing warehouse activities, and organizing storage.

Planning and monitoring inbound and outbound shipments.

Managing logistics operators, warehouse, transportation, and production needs of Raw material and Packaging.

Organizing the warehouse including Storage locations, labeling Raw materials and Packaging.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.

Coordinate, process, receipt and off-loading of Chemical Raw material Tankers.

Inbound and outbound checklists are performed every shipment.

Process outgoing shipments (locally and internationally)

Responding to any issues or complaints.

Working with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.

Following GMP/ ISO and DOT rules and regulations.

Updating and evaluating metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.

Ensuring all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements.

Receiving all Raw materials, Packaging and Consumables in the ERP system.

Monitoring daily, weekly and monthly inspection and Inventory management.

Requirements

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business administration, logistics management, or supply chain management.

2+ years experience in logistics management or supply chain management.

2+ years management experience.

Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management tools.

Knowledge of using an ERP system

Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

Experience managing direct reports

Proven ability to perform quantitative analysis

Strong involvement with procurement and Supply Chain

Proficient in use of software programs such as Google tools and Microsoft office.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

The salary range for this position in Sandston VA is $78k to $80k with full benefits.
