Skills and experience for the next step in your career:

As Logistics Intern, you will gain valuable industry experience along with personal and professional skills to begin building your career.

Your day-to-day activities will include:

• Developing and directing logistic processes as well as establishing ongoing improvement plans for national freight management, vendor routing, and third party carrier management;
• Working with CN/CP to ensure continuous flow of material;
• Managing Ocean freight along with freight forwarders direction;
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring performance metrics for central transportation, shipping and receiving;
• Negotiating courier/carrier implementations and managing contracts and service level agreements for third party suppliers and/or service providers and researching market rates for appropriate geographical areas and destinations

The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a logistics, supply chain or related program
• Excellent Customer Service and strong negotiation and communication skills
• Familiarity with Food Standards, such as BRC, SQF is an asset
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
