We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Logistics Dispatcher to coordinate and manage the movement of freight and shipments across our supply chain network. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the communication hub between drivers, carriers, warehouses, and clients, ensuring timely and efficient transportation operations. Duties

Coordinate daily dispatch operations for freight movement using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine. Utilize GPS and GIS tools to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and improve delivery efficiency. Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, warehouse staff, and clients via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette. Enter data accurately into logistics software, including shipping & receiving records, fleet management logs, and AS400 systems. Monitor shipment statuses in real-time, troubleshoot delays or issues promptly, and reroute deliveries as needed. Collaborate with supply chain teams to plan transportation schedules aligned with customer demands and inventory levels. Maintain detailed dispatch logs, incident reports, and shipment documentation for compliance and analysis purposes. Support freight loading/unloading coordination by providing clear instructions on shipping & receiving procedures. Assist in managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure service levels meet company standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience in dispatching within a logistics or transportation environment is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or SyteLine. Familiarity with GPS tracking, GIS mapping tools, and fleet management software is essential. Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently over a multi-line phone system. Demonstrated analysis skills for route planning, freight optimization, and problem-solving in fast-paced settings. Proficiency in data entry using systems like AS400 or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment. Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with freight regulations is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and record-keeping.
