Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Dispatcher to coordinate transportation and logistics operations within our supply chain. The ideal candidate will manage freight movements, communicate effectively with drivers and clients, and utilize various transportation management systems to ensure timely and efficient delivery. This role is essential in maintaining smooth operations across shipping, receiving, and supply chain functions, supporting our commitment to excellent service and operational excellence.

Duties

Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as SyteLine and AS400. Manage shipping & receiving activities, ensuring accurate data entry and documentation. Communicate with carriers, drivers, clients, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems, demonstrating professional phone etiquette and strong communication skills. Monitor freight status, troubleshoot issues, and provide analysis to optimize delivery schedules. Maintain detailed records of shipments, deliveries, and related data for analysis and reporting purposes. Collaborate with 3PL providers to coordinate logistics solutions aligned with supply chain requirements. Assist with inventory management and support shipping & receiving operations as needed. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all dispatch activities.

Experience

Proven experience working with transportation management systems such as SyteLine or AS400 is preferred. Strong familiarity with supply chain processes, freight management, and shipping & receiving procedures. Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy in typing and record keeping. Strong analysis skills to interpret logistics data and improve dispatch efficiency. Effective communication skills for coordinating across multiple departments and external partners. Experience working with multi-line phone systems and maintaining professional phone etiquette is desirable. Prior experience in freight or logistics coordination within a 3PL environment is a plus.
