Position Summary:



We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Procurement, this hands-on role will support our Procurement, Production, and Distribution Centre teams to ensure the efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods. This position offers the opportunity to develop logistics and procurement expertise while directly contributing to the success of our supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:



Coordinate inbound domestic and international shipments Request and verify international shipping documentation Assist with the procurement process, including vendor and carrier follow-up Prepare freight quote requests and negotiate competitive rates and service terms Track shipments and proactively address issues related to delays, freight invoices, and PODs Monitor carrier performance and ensure timely, damage-free deliveries Collaborate with Distribution Centre, Production, and Accounting teams to resolve claims Maintain accurate and up-to-date reports, including open PO, freight, line shortages, and non-conformance logs Analyze logistics data including cost, lead time, and delivery metrics Liaise with suppliers to obtain annual CUSMA and other preferential trade documentation Ensure all activities comply with internal procurement and DC procedures Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain

Qualifications:



3+ years of experience in global supply chain logistics Experience coordinating all modes of transportation (road, sea, air, intermodal) Strong negotiation and organizational skills Solid knowledge of HS Codes, tariffs, and international trade regulations Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Experience with ERP and TMS systems is an asset Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to solve problems under pressure Self-motivated, honest, and adaptable

Full-time, Monday to Friday Hours of work: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Location: 1725 Sargent Avenue Must have clear criminal record check
