Robert Half is actively recruiting for Logistics Coordinators for CONTRACT positions in the Kitchener-Waterloo region. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the logistics process, from procurement to delivery. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including suppliers, carriers, warehouse staff, and internal teams, to ensure the timely and cost-effective movement of goods. Your primary duties will include:-Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing and terms for goods and services.-Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and identify new vendors as needed.-Coordinate the procurement of materials and supplies to meet production or project requirements.-Arrange transportation and shipping services for inbound and outbound shipments.-Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups, deliveries, and freight forwarding.-Monitor shipment progress and address any issues or delays to ensure on-time delivery.-Maintain accurate inventory records and track stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.-Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies with physical counts.-Coordinate with warehouse staff to optimize storage space and organize inventory for efficient retrieval.-Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs clearance forms.-Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, such as customs, safety, and environmental standards.-Keep abreast of changes in transportation regulations and implement necessary adjustments to processes.-Proactively identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to streamline logistics operations.-Address issues and resolve conflicts related to transportation, inventory management, and supplier relationships.-Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.-Bachelor\'s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.-Strong understanding of logistics principles, transportation modes, and supply chain management concepts.-Proficiency in logistics software and systems, such as ERP, WMS, and TMS platforms.-Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.-Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work effectively under pressure.-Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality.-Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.-Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures is a plus.-Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CSCMP, APICS) is advantageous.Robert Half is the world\'s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
