Job Description

Our client, a leading organization in logistics and supply chain management, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator - Transportation & Freight Operations to join their team. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be an essential part of the logistics department supporting transportation and freight activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Logistics Coordinator - Transportation & Freight Operations
Location: Mississauga, ON
Pay Range: $25-28/hr
Shift: 08:30 am - 4:30 pm or 9:00 am -5:00 pm (morning shift, schedule may change based on operational needs)
What's the Job?

  • Coordinate transportation and freight activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of shipments
  • Work closely with freight carriers, customs, and shipment tracking systems to manage logistics operations
  • Review freight costs, service issues, and performance data to optimize logistics processes
  • Communicate professionally with carriers, customers, and internal teams to resolve issues and provide updates
  • Prioritize and manage multiple shipments under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
What's Needed?
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in logistics coordination, transportation management, or supply chain operations
  • Experience working with freight carriers, customs processes, and shipment tracking systems is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Understanding of LTL, FTL, and courier operations
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
