Job Summary

Located 10km north of Saskatoon. Northern Farm Foods Ltd is a producer owned Non-GMO Canola processing Facility. We are currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our team.

Northern Farm Foods is expanding and looking for a person who would like to join our team and help build our company, enjoying a friendly work environment with room for personal growth.

Duties:

Responsible for coordinating and scheduling of inbound seed trucks, outbound canola meal trucks and oil railcars

Communication with farmers, carriers, and customers to ensure timely inbound and outbound of trucks

Negotiating freight rates with truck companies

Calculating and monitoring best rail rates to US and Canadian destinations

Communication with various departments within the organization to ensure production is uninterrupted with smooth inflow and outflow of oil, meal, and canola seed.

Requirements:

The ideal applicant will have experience as a logistics coordinator agriculture background an asset

Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management skills, multi-tasking, prioritizing work, and exercising initiative to ensure an efficient and quality level of service.

Ability to work with little supervision, track multiple processes and multitask.

Good team player.

Good computer skills are a must, with experience using Word, Excel, Outlook
