Job Description

Position Summary


The Logistics Coordinator is a hands-on operational role responsible for coordinating production orders, managing shipping and receiving activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting procurement. This position works directly on the production floor to verify processes, complete daily checks, and ensure all materials, documentation, and workflows are aligned with production needs. The role also maintains critical food-safety, maintenance, and traceability records in compliance with HACCP and company standards.

Key Responsibilities. Hands-On Production & Floor Support



Work directly on the production floor to ensure all required materials, packaging, and tools are prepared prior to shift start. Perform and document

Pre-Op checks

, including verification of sanitation, equipment readiness, and line setup. Verify and sign off on

CCP 1 Baking Records

and other in-process quality documentation. Support production teams by troubleshooting issues that may delay workflow, materials flow, or scheduling. Assist with loading, unloading, pallet movement, and physical inventory tasks as required.

2. Production Order & Scheduling Management



Create daily and weekly production orders based on forecasts and confirmed customer demand. Plan production schedules in alignment with equipment and labour availability. Communicate plans to supervisors, line leads, and production personnel.

3. Shipping & Receiving Coordination



Create and print labels and shipping documents. Maintain accurate

Zorro

shipping and receiving records. Schedule shipments, arrange carrier pickups, and verify shipment accuracy prior to dispatch. Manage shipping samples and ensure documentation accuracy. Physically assist with shipments when required.

4. Inventory, Materials & Procurement



Monitor inventory levels of ingredients, packaging, chemicals, and consumables. Order packaging materials, cleaning supplies, and all incoming materials to maintain production continuity. Physically verify stock levels on the floor and in the warehouse. Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate warehouse records.

5. Traceability, Data Management & System Records



Maintain and update data in

NutraSoft

to support traceability and lot tracking. Complete and file preventative maintenance records in

Zorro

(weekly, and as assigned). Maintain organized and compliant documentation for all production, maintenance, and logistics activities.

6. Compliance, Food Safety & Documentation



Ensure operational activities comply with HACCP, CFIA, and internal food-safety policies. Support QA and management during audits and assist with corrective actions.

7. Reporting & Communication



Prepare daily operational reports, including production, shipping summaries, inventory status, and ingredient usage. Serve as a key point of communication between production, warehouse, procurement, and management. Participate in planning meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications



Experience in logistics, production operations, or food manufacturing is preferred. Ability to work hands-on in a production environment. Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities. Familiarity with systems such as Zorro and NutraSoft is an asset. Knowledge of HACCP or food-safety principles is preferred. Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across departments.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 44 per week
