Our client, a leader in the Canadian logistics and transportation industry, is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join their team. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting international and cross-border logistics activities. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

? Pay Rate: $25/hour
? Shift Options: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM / 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Monday to Friday)

What You'll Be Doing
As a Logistics Compliance Specialist, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth movement of goods across borders while maintaining compliance with customs and regulatory standards. Your day-to-day will include:
? Managing and processing pre-alerts for inbound shipments and coordinating recovery schedules
? Dispatching line-haul drivers (Purolator and third-party agents) to meet delivery timelines
? Liaising with customs, brokers, warehouse teams, and ground handlers to resolve recovery issues
? Ensuring compliance with CBSA programs such as CLVS and PARS
? Managing customs clearance coordination, bonded warehouse deliveries, and export documentation
? Reviewing and processing supplier invoices; ensuring accuracy for Accounts Payable and client billing
?? Arranging bookings with airlines, trucking companies, and steamship lines for international shipments
? Preparing all required documentation - MAWB, HAWB, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, etc.
? Maintaining operational compliance with CBSA regulations within bonded warehouse environments
? Providing timely communication and exceptional service to domestic and international stakeholders
What You Bring to the Role
1-3 years of experience in international and cross-border logistics
Strong understanding of customs procedures and bonded warehouse operations
Experience with freight forwarding documentation (MAWB, HAWB, Bills of Lading, Export Declarations)
Knowledge of Incoterms and customs documentation requirements
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills; customer-service oriented
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
CIFFA Level 1 & 2 certifications, CBSA ACI Portal experience are assets
Bilingualism (English/French) is an advantage
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
