Job Summary



The

Logistics Coordinator

at FABCO Plastics plays a key role in managing the efficient movement of goods from suppliers to customers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery through strategic coordination of transportation, warehousing, and inventory. This position involves active communication with vendors, carriers, internal departments, and customers, while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and upholding FABCO Plastics' standards for service and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities



Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely transportation and delivery of goods. Track shipments and proactively communicate delivery status to stakeholders. Resolve issues related to transportation delays, damages, or order discrepancies. Optimize shipping methods and freight costs without compromising service levels. Prepare, review, and maintain accurate shipping documents including Bills of Lading (BOLs), customs paperwork, and packing slips. Maintain and update logistics records, including shipping, receiving, and inventory data. Collaborate with all divisions ensure smooth logistics workflows. Support inventory control through Just-In-Time inventory management. Communicate regularly with customers, sales, managers to provide updates and resolve service issues. Schedule services and ensure fulfillment aligns with customer expectations and internal policies. Field incoming calls and emails from customers to support scheduling and service coordination. Work cross-functionally with other departments to effective issue resolution. Analyze shipping costs and logistics performance to identify areas for cost savings and operational improvement. Participate in supply chain optimization projects and implement best practices. Ensure all shipments comply with transportation regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications



Post-secondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in a logistics, supply chain, or transportation coordination role. Strong understanding of logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management. Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experience with ERP software is an asset. Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
