Logistics Coordinator

to join our team in Lindsay, ON. Our core business hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (hours may vary depending on operational needs). This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy, values teamwork, and is eager to contribute to the smooth coordination of shipments, scheduling, and overall logistics operations.

General Description:



Under the general direction of the VP of Operations, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the shipment of all products from the Lindsay facility. This role follows established procedures and guidance from the Supervisor, Meter Service Centre. In addition to shipping activities, the position supports inventory management, transportation scheduling, and general warehouse operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency across the logistics function.

Characteristics, Features, Requirements:



This full-time position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively under written procedures and supervisor direction. The role involves handling boxes weighing up to 50 lbs and demands solid computer proficiency, including experience with ERP systems, shipping software, and MS Office, to ensure accurate processing of shipping and receiving documentation. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, together with a commitment to compliance with ISO-9001 standards and Measurement Canada requirements. Familiarity with CARMA's Quality Manual and Health & Safety Manual is also expected to ensure consistent adherence to quality and safety practices. You will also demonstrate your ability to work independently and perform all tasks associated with each of your primary responsibilities. Critical to these responsibilities is the requirement to complete assigned tasks accurately and on time.

Reporting:



The Logistics Coordinator reports directly to the Supervisor, Meter Service Centre or designate; who will assign, monitor and review performance goals and objectives and weekly work schedules.

Important and Essential Duties:



The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Shipping & Logistics Responsibilities

Verify the accuracy of all product labels, including job numbers, serial/test numbers, and item numbers; Assemble and package orders according to purchase order travelers or order confirmations, ensuring all equipment is complete; Package products in compliance with procedures to prevent transit damage, including proper handling of static-sensitive components; Review order documentation thoroughly to confirm accuracy before shipping; Prepare and generate accurate shipping forms and packing slips using Sage ERP; Coordinate courier and freight pickups, verifying all "ship-to" information on labels is accurate.

Inventory & Utility Responsibilities

Assist with receiving, verifying, and recording incoming shipments; Support RMA returns processing, including unboxing, staging for quality control, and updating inventory; Perform light assembly tasks, such as labeling meters and preparing return kits; Maintain warehouse organization, ensure inventory accuracy, and uphold safe housekeeping practices.

Experience/Knowledge/Ability



Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; Detail-oriented and accuracy-driven, able to identify and resolve discrepancies in shipping, receiving, and inventory records; Proficient in ERP and inventory management systems, and familiar with shipping documentation, freight coordination, and warehouse operations; Effective communicator and collaborator, working seamlessly with internal teams, vendors, and carriers; Adaptable and solutions-focused, maintaining professionalism while navigating changing priorities or unexpected challenges.

Qualifications



High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, or related field is an asset; 1-3 years experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or warehouse support (utility/assembly background an asset).

Working Conditions



Full-time, warehouse-based role with exposure to shipping, receiving, and inventory operations; Regularly required to lift, carry, and move packages and materials (light to moderate weight); Frequent standing, walking, and occasional bending or reaching throughout the shift; Fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines; ability to manage shifting priorities efficiently; Flexible to work occasional evenings or weekends to support operational demands and meet deadlines; A collaborative and supportive work environment focused on employee engagement and professional growth.
